Many users do not realize that even moving an electronic balance by half a meter can affect its weighing accuracy. Level shift, micro vibration during handling and environmental changes will all cause sensor baseline deviation. After relocation, a complete recovery procedure is required, instead of simply powering on and starting to weigh. This checklist applies to calibration of electronic balance, digital balance calibration and calibration of electronic weighing balance of Hochoice full series.

After moving the balance to the new position, first check the appearance for collision damage, and confirm that the weighing pan, windshield and foot screws are intact and not loose.
Check whether the internal sensor structure has abnormal noise during gentle handling. If there is obvious abnormal sound, do not power on forcibly, and contact the manufacturer for inspection.
Place the balance on a stable, vibration-free workbench, away from air outlets, direct sunlight and heat sources.
Level deviation is the number one cause of systematic error after balance relocation.
Observe the level bubble on the balance body, and adjust the two foot screws at the bottom synchronously.
Turn the foot screws clockwise to raise the corresponding side, and counterclockwise to lower it, until the level bubble is exactly in the center of the marking circle.
After adjustment, gently press the four corners of the balance to confirm that it is placed stably without shaking.
Connect the power supply, turn on the balance, and preheat for at least 30 minutes. Do not skip the preheating step because of eagerness to use it, otherwise the sensor will be unstable and subsequent calibration will be invalid.
After preheating, confirm that the weighing pan is clean and empty, and close all windshield doors.
Operate according to the standard process of how to reset digital scale to zero: press the ZERO key, wait for the display to stabilize at 0.0000 g, and the stability indicator lights up.
If the zero point cannot be reset stably, check whether the weighing pan is stuck, whether there is foreign matter under the pan, or whether the level is adjusted in place.
Zero reset can only correct the baseline offset, but cannot compensate for the sensor parameter drift caused by position change. A full weight calibration must be performed.
Enter the calibration menu of the Hochoice balance, and select the electronic calibration mode matching the range.
Use traceable standard weights, gently place them in the center of the weighing pan with tweezers, and close the windshield.
Wait for the balance to automatically complete parameter correction. Do not touch the workbench or the balance during the whole process.
After calibration, take out the weight and confirm that the display returns to zero stably.
Repeat weighing of standard weights for 3–5 times to verify that the indication error is within the allowable range, and the repeatability meets the specification.
Test samples with known weight to confirm that the weighing results are consistent with those before relocation.
Update the instrument file, record the relocation time, new position, zero reset result and balance calibration data.
For regulated laboratories, the relocation and re-calibration records must be archived together for audit traceability.
Do not omit calibration and directly use the balance after moving it. Even a short-distance movement of 30cm may cause obvious systematic deviation.
For long-distance transportation, it is recommended to fix the weighing pan and sensor with buffer materials to avoid impact damage.
